My Services

Anyone who is accompanied by a VDBS mountain hiking guide expects a high degree of professionalism and routine.In doing so, the safety of my guests always comes first. You've come to the right guide, if you want to experience the peace and beauty of the mountains. While you enjoy a carefree hiking holiday, I take care of all relevant planning and leadership tasks before and during the trip.

Coaching

Personal goals on the mountain require good and individual preparation.
This includes, for example, the selection of mountain boots and hiking clothing, walking technique, a head for heights, sure-footedness, tour planning, orientation in the terrain, use of technical aids and many other topics that can be learned.

Day hikes

I hold a detailed collection of about 15,000 mountain hikes.
This facilitates almost endless possibilities for all age groups: From the child-friendly hike with a petting zoo to the medium-difficulty day hike to the demanding ridge walk.

Alpine crossings

Once in a lifetime by foot across the Alps. Individually or in small groups.
Every hike from Bavaria to South Tyrol leaves a positive mark on us. Strangers become friends. A group becomes a team. On our way across the Alps, we grow with our tasks and enjoy shared successes.

Why hike with Achim Heib?

I wore hiking boots for the first time at the tender age of 34. On a rainy summer day, I hiked a 2,800m high mountain in Switzerland alone and without any experience. When I arrived at the summit, the clouds suddenly parted and I found myself welcomed and embraced by hundreds of snow covered mountain peaks. It was one of the most beautiful and grateful moments of my life.

On that day, I decided to complete a professional training to become a VDBS mountain hiking guide. Today, 9 years and more than 500 hikes later, I'm regularly out and about in the mountains and I enable my guests to have awesome moments of achievement on the most beautiful hiking trails in the Alps.
